Join us as we celebrate and support the women and children that are experiencing homelessness in Metropolitan Atlanta at the Solomon's Temple Foundation 2021 Transforming Lives Gala. The elegant evening of gourmet cuisine, live music, and our one-of-a-kind auction will make a tremendous impact to those that need it most.
The organization founded in 2014 is dedicated to the eradication of homelessness by empowering women and their children to overcome life's challenges, realize their potential, define their own destiny and become vital factors in the revitalization and sustainability of their community. With a 130-bed capacity, Solomon’s Temple is the third largest facility in Metropolitan Atlanta which offers emergency housing for homeless women and their children.
In six short years, the Foundation has opened its doors providing supportive housing and life skills enrichment and services to equip homeless women and their children to realize economic sustainability. Backed by the strong commitment of our Board of Directors and staff, we have served over 1,500 women and children since our inception. We are also one of the few homeless facilities in Atlanta that provides housing for male children ages 11 through 17.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on women and their children who are experiencing homelessness. We have witnessed firsthand a decrease in access to safe and affordable housing, increase in domestic abuse, new barriers for those experiencing mental health, unemployment, and food insecurity for women and children.
